Growl before he died

these photos all showed a huge love of the sport to me and the emotions shown are what I feel when I do parkour. This is a part of my series walking the line.

Life map grade me please

My mapping project is a list of emotions. The paint was shaven to give it an aged look but it still looks fresh to a point. to represent me now. I wrote some word wrong to give it a child like feel. This represents the things I had to learn growing up in a single parent home. The black is the yang or negative and white the yin good. I painted he holes the opposite of each to show that both are coming together to make me. Though it looks simple I had to plan each thing done out and be very careful on how I did it. one bad move could change the meaning of the piece. I call it simply "David".

Mark Making Story Line pics

These pictures of my final product from my story line. My word was freedom but the emotion that the word came from was happiness. I felt my project went over well excusing a few presentation flaws. I learned what I could have done better to sell the idea but all in all my painting was a success.

Project Choice

For my metaphor project I chose the busted T.V. I will place a big medal I earned in track over the summer.

Metaphor Ideas

My memory is the the transition of my athletic life from little league to high school. I was a good player in little league on up but I wasn't recognized by the coaches and was not given a fair shot to show my skill. I set a goal to prove myself to them and got my shot in high school. I ran track in my sophmore to senior years of  high school and shortly after my coaches realized what they held back. I went to regionals for my my USATF team and earned many medals. I also graduated in the top 10% of my class. The metaphor is "a goal set is a triumph seized".
Proposal one: I will have one broken little league football trophy encircled by different school awards and sports awards to show that even though this fell through it made me stronger.

Memeory 2 is of the regional track season in high school and I hurt my hamstring on my second jump for long jump. That day my high school career was cut short. I alway saw the Olympics when it was on when I was younger and aspired to be on the level of which the athletes are on.
The metaphor that came to me was "Success is always fun until the cord is snapped".

Proposal 2: When you think of track you think of college or the Olympics on T.V. I am going to bust a T.V. screen and cut the power cord. This will show a connection to T.V. and sports.

Proposal 3: I am going to take the power cord of a T.V. and a DVD player and place them next to a track spike with the laces cut.

Lecture 3 HW

A)This photo was initially for my line story but it became photo I can use in a different situation. The person in the photo is like a brother to me. I mean we don't always agree but we find a way to get along with each other. I chose the photo because he along side two others taught me the true virtue that is parkour. It is significant because he is a good friend and encourages me when I need it.

B)The relation ship is friendship. We know each others physical strengths and weaknesses as free runners so I took my shots seriously and did so in a manner that would not tire him out. The attitudes are respecting and silly because all we did that day was tell jokes about things we have seen or joust think would be fun.

C)This was meant to shed light on the fact that parkour is a serious sport even though it looks like some kids just jumping off of things. It was meant to be viewed the eyes of new tracers/ free runners and the general public at any point in time. I will remember how relaxed this day was so yes.

A)This is a photo of a guy doing a back flip in all points of the motion. This photo is a reference for my next flip. This photo captures the beauty that is motion. This is significant because soon
I will be able to this flip if I work on it.

B)The relationship is fun yet business like. It keeps the free runner comfortable but also allows for great shots for the photographer. It shows me how far parkour and freerunning has gotten in this world.
The artist is in amazement while the free runner is in his own world and natural element.

C)This was meant to show how well the body can move. It was meant to be viewed by anyone interested in the art. I will remember the picture every time I flip so yes I believe so.

A)This is a photo of me glow-stringing, the move I am doing is called a double wrap. This is from the night I did my human dot comps and truly understood light painting. The beauty of light captured in a stream that is possible to be seen. This is significant because it allowed me to see different moves I do in a different light. (no pun intended)

B)The relationship is of fun and creativity. This allows both camera man and subject to challenge each others skills and match how well the other is doing. They both are in friendly competition.

C)his was meant explore a new world I knew very little about. I feel anyone can view this if they want. It may benefit them as well as myself. I will definitely remember this picture because it opened my mind to a new world.

Monologue and Uncomfortable video crit

I personally feel my monologues could have been better. I learned what distracted from my artistic concept. I also learned to use a different location to get a better product instead of the one I ended up with. I also am glad I kept my prop from the mark making portion of wash because it gave me an edge( no pun intended) to work with.

These are the rejects: Yet Still Uncomfortable

First concept

Second Concept

On the Verge: W.A.S.H. Look at What You've Done to Me

I hope this does not offend anyone. This is not meant to be funny in any way even though the blog title is like a pun. I felt this is a subject that many teen have gone through and some of which have not survived. This must be known and people should try to help people in this kind of situation. I am not attempting suicide but more on the line alerting people to the dangers of said concept. Thank You for viewing.

Mark Making w/ different objects and ink

For this one I used a Magnolia seed.

For this one I used a hair clip that a friend let me have in pursuit of artistic endeavors.

This time I used thread.

This one was fun I used a spoon.

In this one I used a fish tank lining marble to make this piece.

I liked how these came out because I used new methods that I never really have tried before. I hope you all like them.

100 uncomfortable things

For my uncomfortable video I have chosen one of my biggest subjects on the list which is suicide. This will replace wasps because they are pretty similar to bees in a way.

Revend Ethan Acres

Reverend Ethan Acres went through a lot and knows the way to changing your life. What he does is art. You can not truly judge something as art. Art  can only be art in the eyes of the person who makes it. Art is not for everyone but yet is open for the viewing of others to teach the artist or the person viewing it about life. His art is different because it shows how life choices effect ones art. It speaks to people spiritually on a different level with each individual. He uses his art to speak gods word to people internally. He is serious about his work because he has even gone the distance to get a doctorates in Divinity. He would not have gone this far if he was not serious. He loves his work and how it helps others find the light through a personal journey. It gives him satisfaction to know people's lives change when they see his work. He works to get people to hear his message like the beat at a party. He wants to truly reach his listeners through the power of art and religion.

Now don't get me wrong I don't condone in the fact that he wears spandex and goes around the church hopping like a mad child. I mean there are some things you don't do. He truly has a good heart for people though he may show it awkwardly. Even though he is very unorthodox as a pastor, he is a very humble man and still has qualities that deserve respect. His work is an art but it truly is not the art you are thinking of.  Life is art once you truly delve into it and search for answers. So I conclude he is making art with out visually making art because it is human nature regardless if we know it or not.

From his videos of sermons he seems very passionate even though he may be miss guided about calling his work art. Divinity and God play a huge role in his heart and you can see it through his actions. You can see the supplication and empathy for man. He wants all of his followers to leave with a lesson learned in one way or another. He really has a heart and expresses it in a very unsubtle way.

Final Monologue Choice

These are thoughts that I have been holding in for a while and wanted to get out. They are truly directed to my father and it is a good thing Kathy has given me the opportunity to do so. Thank you Kathy.
