For my Card board project I had a hard time getting the measurements right but still even then my projects came out pretty unique. The one about surface in particular reminds me of an alien cocoon or an egg of a dinosaur that is hatching. The texture of the spherical shape gave it that cracked look or armored look of and egg or cocoon.
